Six of us seniors enjoyed a full day excursion to the Maya Ruins at Lamanai. Our boat driver/naturalist explained much about the wildlife as we moved up the New River by boat towards the ruins including crocodiles and monkey's and many varieties of birds. Our guide of the ruins, Mark McField, could not explain enough to us about the history of the ancient Maya culture and how the temples of Lamanai fit into their lifestyle. What a great, well planned day including lunch. Louigi organized everything in advance.
